We need to get more community involvement in activities in our community that have a long term benefit to all of us. Growing our own food, and food for others, returns us to our roots, and encourages a sustainable, all-organic diet.
Donate time to help prepare gardening plots and assist those plot owners who may need assistance, contribute gardening tools, or have your own plot in the Red Barn Garden!
During the time in which the Red Barn Community Garden has been in operation, thousands of pounds of vegetables have been raised for individual families and groups, with thousands more being donated to local food banks. Join us to continue this tremendous project that benefits many!
If you are interested in renting a Red Barn plot or finding ways to support the project, contact Forrest Callaghan, Red Barn General Manager at (425) 772-5008 or fjcallaghan@aol.com, or Dale Wilson, Lowell Civic Association Project Coordinator at (425) 355-2159 or glengylefarm@comcast.net
